2011 f150 sony stereo upgrade4/10/2024 ![]() ![]() I have wired amps before, but always off of aftermarket head units. ![]() Is doing these enough of an upgrade or is an inline amp also required to stop the system from dropping off power levels as you raise the volume? if so, What is the best method and amp for this without too much cutting?Ģ) is it worth even touching the factory tweeters? I would rather not unless there is a drastic improvementĢ) Sub and mono amp - I will be adding a mono amp with an aftermarket 10" sub. With that bit of background, here is my main questions at the moment.ġ) Door speakers - 6x8 coaxial in four corners. I wouldnt classify myself as an extreme audiophile, but I do listen to a lot of music (many genres) for a lot of time. I now have a 2013 fx4 screw with sony (with nav) and I need to upgrade the audio in it as its just not what I am used to in a car stereo system. I first had a 2010 fx4 scab with the sony stereo in it (non nav) and I had just filled the box with poly and that got me by for the short time I had the truck. ![]() Sorry for another thread on this, but I have been searching and reading for over a couple hours now on this subject and I thought it was time to create something with my specific questions to get me on the right track. ![]()
